Lock+Load Retaining Wall System:

Picture
High strength versatile earth retention system suitable for applications where, strong, attractive, and economical structures are required.

The LOCK+LOAD modular design, uses two high strength, light weight, fiber reinforced concrete components assembled into a single rigid cantilever unit. These units alone can be used to build short walls or in conjunction with soil reinforcement for tall retaining structures. The design flexibility of LOCK+LOAD and its versatility in creating handsome rugged retaining walls make LOCK+LOAD the ideal solution for any earth retention application.

A significant advantage of the LOCK+LOAD wall system is that guardrails, barriers, or fences can be positioned directly behind the wall face maximizing useable space. Another distinct advantage is that each LOCK+LOAD module (or "Stone") acts independently to provide superior stability and eliminate differential settlement problems.

Anchor Wall Retaining Systems

Picture
Anchor Wall Systems is the leading designer and manufacturer of segmental retaining wall systems for large-scale shoreline, interstate, commercial, residential and landscaping projects.

Anchor Wall Systems retaining wall systems feature the patented rear- lip that provides unmatched strength, beauty and uniform alignment for architects, engineers specifiers, and contractors.

Anchor Wall Systems is the first to have a geosynthetic reinforced segmental retaining wall system approved by Caltrans. “Landmark System” is the first segmental retaining system to be approved by Caltrans. Landmark offers considerable cost savings and aesthetic value in comparison to other “Earth Retaining Structures” that are pre-approved by Caltrans.

Reinforced Earth Company (RECo)

Picture
Reinforced Earth®retaining walls are gravity structures consisting of alternating layers of granular backfill and reinforcing strips with a modular precast concrete facing. They are used extensively in transportation and other civil engineering applications. Because of its high load-carrying capacity, Reinforced Earth is ideal for very high or heavy-loaded retaining walls.

The inherent flexibility of the composite material makes it possible to build on compressible foundation soils or unstable slopes. These performance advantages combined with low materials volume and a rapid, predictable and easy construction process make Reinforced Earth an extremely cost-effective solution over conventional retaining structures.

Retained Earth™ is one of the most widely accepted mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) systems in the nation. Over two million square meters of Retained Earth walls are in use for highway projects, bridge abutments, material storage facilities and grade separation structures. The flexibility of the system, which allows for some movement and settlement without cracking the facing panel, makes the system well suited to seismic zones and areas with poor foundation conditions. The system combines precast concrete panels with galvanized steel bar mats to reinforce the soil mass. The alternating layers of reinforcing mesh, select backfill and facing panels, create a stable composite material with excellent load-supporting characteristics. A mechanical connection to precast concrete panels, achieved with the use of a patented clevis loop, creates a system that is technically sound and highly reliable.

TWall (The Neel Company)

Picture
The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System is a precast reinforced concrete modular wall system. The precast T-WALL® units arrive on the construction site ready to be placed into the structure, and are easily handled by equipment that is usually already on-site for other purposes. T-WALL® structures are built by stacking the individual units in rows and columns, and then backfilling around the units with select backfill.

T-WALL® units come in various sizes to meet the needs of a project. Typical units have a rectangular face and a stem that extends into the earth being retained. The length of the stem is designed to resist the earth pressure on the unit, which increases with the distance from the top of the wall. (As one of our many professional services, The Neel Company provides sealed design calculations and drawings for each T-WALL® structure.) The face of the unit comes in three basic sizes:
  • 2.5 feet high x 5.0 feet wide
  • 5.0 feet high x 5.0 feet wide
  • 5.0 feet high x 7.5 feet wide (well-suited for large projects)

The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System is used in a wide array of applications, from highways and railroads to waterways and site development, and are available in a variety of architectural finishes to compliment the aesthetics of any project.

The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System can
easily accomodate other structures that are commonly encountered on construction projects, such as railings, traffic barriers, and drainage pipes.
